Arcana
The magically powerful rulers of New Atlantis; tarot cards are based on them. Arcana families are the noble class of Atlantis.

Arcana Majeure
Very powerful and versatile magic that uses the life force of the user to power and cast a spell instead of a sigil. Considered a mark of requirement for an Arcana or principality.

Atlantean World War
A brief human-Atlantean war in the 1960s following the reveal of Atlantis.

Cantrip
A small magical spell based on willpower that does not require a sigil.

Celestials
The former power bloc of Sun, Moon, and Star Courts.

Changeling
Used interchangeably with shapeshifter; not a replacement for a stolen child.

Closing The Flower Petal
A kidney jab; one of Brand's fake Companion moves.

Convocation
The elected body of ordinary Atlanteans that handles laws and simulates democracy; does not overrule the Arcanum.

Dampening Bracelet
A bracelet that mimics the effects of a null zone, interfering with an Atlantean's connection to their sigils and other magical devices. However, Aspects and Arcana Majeure can still be accessed.

Densuke Watermelon
A black watermelon that sells for $5000+, supposedly the most delicious variety on the market.

Devil's Trumpet
A pink and purple flowering plant that causes psychosis and respiratory failure; the traditional plant of the Atlantean fall equinox holiday.

Dragon
Magical creature that flies and breathes nuclear fire. Mostly in hibernation post-Atlantean World War. Under control of The Chariot.

Equinox
The point of Fall and Spring when the Sun is directly over the Earth's equator. Atlanteans celebrate these days as two of their four gift-giving holidays, along with the Solstices.

Fae
Magical species that can shape shift, though not as extensively as Beast throne members. They are creatures of etiquette, have their own language, and can share/rifle through dreams. Sometimes called changelings.

A member of Atlantean nobility.

Sigil
An object magically crafted to store spells in for later use. Typically in the form of jewelry or piercings, but also weapons, marital aids, or other objects of significance. Mass sigils are the more powerful version.

Solstice
The point in Winter and Summer in which the Sun's peak is at its farthest point from the Earth's Equator, creating the shortest and longest days of the year. Atlanteans celebrate these days as two of their four gift-giving holidays, along with the Equinoxes.

The hungriest of all ghosts, old and corrupted. They eat the living, and partially living, such as recarnates.
