Hey everyone—I wanted to share details on the Silent Auction as we get closer and closer to the November launch.
As many of you know, this past year has brought a lot of change—including my decision to step away from full-time administrative work and focus on writing, publishing, and convention attendance full time. The auction will help cover essential creative costs for the year ahead: things like cover art, editing, promotional design, and the kind of behind-the-scenes infrastructure that lets me keep producing stories at a level you deserve.
What makes this event meaningful to me is how personal it’s become. Friends, collaborators, and artists I admire—including Micah Epstein, Aedan Roberts, and Justyna Chlopecka—have donated incredible pieces tied to The Tarot Sequence and beyond. I’ll also be contributing unique items: annotated Eidolon manuscripts, cameo appeared for The Exiled Courts, beta reading seats for The Misfit Caravan, writing craft teaching sessions, a few rare or limited collector’s pieces…. I’ll share the full lineup soon, but wanted to start dropping items in batches this week.
On a personal note, I want to say how deeply grateful I am for everyone here. I didn’t expect to lose my job in my early 50s—but when it happened, I chose to see it as a chance to finally make the leap into full-time writing. If it weren’t for this site, that transition would have been nearly impossible. Patreon has been both a financial and social lifeline; I hope you feel that you’re getting real value from it, because you absolutely are shaping what comes next. One of my goals for 2026 is to grow this space in a big way—including launching The Early Adventures of Rune & Brand, a serial adventure set in the early days of Half House, featuring an exclusive new Micah Epstein cover.
